API parts

Hi,

I use often pcb parts for new design to check what available.

In many cases I spend really long time to check for basic components like resistor or capacitor. Is there an API available to access these information?

The web interface works out but it's hard to process and definetely it's not the designed intention.

Most of my checks are like: is a basic component? what is the wattage..the size..stock availability...
