Sanken Elec was established in 1937, initially as the Toho Industrial Research Institute, focusing on the research and trial production of selenium rectifiers. In June 1962, it was renamed Sanken Electric Co., Ltd. The company primarily produces integrated circuits (ICs), power modules, MCUs, discrete devices, and LED products.
